Telehealth psychology is therapy conducted online through video or phone calls. While it may feel a bit unfamiliar at first, most people adjust quickly. All the same processes and techniques are used as in-person therapy, ensuring you receive the same level of support, care, and confidentiality. It’s a convenient and effective way to access therapy from the comfort of your home.
In the first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and having a chat about what’s brought you to therapy, as well as a bit about your life overall. This is a chance for you to share what’s on your mind and for me to understand where you’re at. Don’t worry—we can take it as slow as you like. My goal is to make sure you feel at ease, confident, and ready to make progress in a way that feels right for you.
Individual sessions are $250 for a 50-minute session. If you have an eligible Mental Health Treatment Plan through Medicare, you will receive a rebate of $96.65, bringing the session cost to $153.35.
The Couples Therapy Assessment package is $1,550, which includes an online assessment, analysis of results, four sessions, and a feedback session with strategies and recommendations.
Ongoing couples therapy sessions are $385 for a 75-minute session. Please note that couples therapy is not eligible for a Medicare rebate.
Yes, we accept Medicare referrals for eligible clients, and many private health insurance providers offer rebates for psychological services. Please check with your insurer for the details of your cover, and feel free to contact us if you need assistance in navigating this. See FAQ about Mental Health Treatment Plans for more information about Medicare rebates for psychology services.
A Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) is created by your GP or psychiatrist to help manage your mental health and make you eligible for Medicare rebates for psychological services. After assessing your needs, your GP or psychiatrist may provide a plan that allows for up to 10 sessions per year. These sessions attract a rebate from Medicare, and your GP or psychiatrist will review your progress after a certain number of sessions to determine if further sessions are necessary.
It makes total sense that you’d want to get a feel for whether you’ll be comfortable with a therapist before booking a full session. To help with this, Grace offers a complimentary 10-minute meet and greet phone call. This gives you the chance to ask any questions and learn more about the services available, with no obligation to book in.
If you're interested, feel free to email directly or reach out through the Contact Us page.
The frequency of sessions depends on your individual needs and goals. For many people, weekly or fortnightly sessions are a good starting point, especially at the beginning of therapy. As we progress, we may adjust the frequency based on how you're feeling and the goals you're working towards. Ultimately, we'll work together to find a pace that suits you and supports your progress.
We understand that life can be unpredictable and things can come up. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know as soon as possible. Appointments cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled time will incur a fee equal to 50% of the consultation fee. Cancellations within 24 hours, or failure to attend, will incur a fee equal to the full session cost. This policy helps us make those time slots available for other clients who may be on the waitlist.
Yes, I do. While a big part of my work focuses on men’s mental health, couples, and male-dominated environments, I also see women for individual therapy.
I’ve worked with women across all stages of life for many years—supporting them through anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. You're very welcome here.
